Airtel Introduces Combo Pack in Andhra Pradesh Circle |

Andhra Pradesh based prepaid mobile users of Airtel can now enjoy the new ‘Combo Pack’ launched recently. Airtel’s new voucher offers 1GB of 3G/4G data browsing along with unlimited local minutes free. The validity of this special voucher will extend up to 28 days.

In Kerala, the mobile operator has already commenced delivering 135 megabits per second of 4G mobile broadband speeds on all available mobile devices that have Airtel’s 4G networks. The company mentioned that they have used carrier aggregation across TD LTE and LTE FDD on a LIVE 4G network, to enhance its speed. This makes them the first mobile operator to apply LTE-Advanced (4G+) technology in India. Airtel has also combined 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz spectrum capacities for further aggregation of carrier.
Bharti Airtel provides fixed line, DTH digital TV, business and tower infrastructure services in India, and mobile services across Africa and South Asia. According to a research conducted by BMI, Airtel has been able to acquire a large subscriber base across 20 developing telecom markets, by implementing low-cost strategies. However, these strategies have proven to be unsustainable, and due to this the company is working on methods to improve its profits in Asia and Africa. BMI also mentioned that the mobile operator depends on its profits derived from the domestic Indian market to a large extent, as a solution to deal with losses incurred in other regions.
In a recent statement, the BMI research officials stated, “The Company’s 87% y-o-y in profit after tax to INR 51.83 billion in FY15 was largely driven by Airtel's leadership in India. To maintain this position, high levels of investment are demanded.” Airtel is also actively involved in its three-year network transformation programme, with an INR 600 billion investment. The program was initiated in the third quarter of 2015-16 and will continue to witness the aggressive 4G rollouts and the July 2016 auctions which are about to come up soon.
