Bharti Airtel of late has been trying its best to push boundaries and introduce prepaid tariff plans for its customers. Recently, the India based telecom operator has launched nearly five prepaid Airtel recharge plans. It also applied some changes to its existing prepaid recharge offer packs costing INR 549 and INR 799. After revision the INR 549 pack will be offering 3.5GB data per day and INR 799 pack will be offering 4GB data per day. These prepaid packs are basically designed to counter Reliance Jio offers of INR 509 and INR 799 which give 4GB data and 5GB data per day respectively. These new offerings by Airtel will also challenge Vodafone’s prepaid plans that are priced at INR 549 and INR 799.

Details of Bharti Airtel mobile recharge plans – INR 549 and INR 799

As per the revision, Airtel’s INR 549 recharge pack will now offer 3.5GB data per day benefit as compared to 2.5GB data benefit that was offered earlier. On the other hand its INR 799 top up pack will give 4GB data instead of 3.5GB data per day. The validity period for both the plans is 28 days from the date of recharge.

With these prepaid packs, Airtel is offering a total of 98GB data on INR 549 plan and 112GB of 4G data with the INR 799 plan. When compared to Jio offers, the INR 509 plan of Jio offers 112 GB of 4G data and the INR 799 plan gives 140GB of 4G data. Vodafone is also offering INR 549 and INR 799 prepaid recharge packs with 3.5GB and 4.5GB data benefits. Their plans are also valid for 28 days.

Reliance Jio is nevertheless offering a better deal to its customers with the same plans. Airtel and Vodafone are almost on the same level of competition except for Vodafone’s plan INR 799 which is slightly better in terms of benefits.

Additional Benefits with Airtel Tariffs

Besides the above stated benefits, Bharti Airtel is also offering unlimited voice calls at any network across the country. In addition it is offering 100 SMS per day for a validity period of 28 days. After introducing the prepaid tariff plans INR 249 and INR 499 and revising the INR 399 offer, Airtel decided upon revising plans INR 549 and INR 799. The telecom operator had also launched INR 649 postpaid recharge plan which features 50GB of data, unlimited voice calling and free add-on connection. The new INR 249 plan is released in competition with Jio’s INR 198 pack which offers 2GB of data per day. INR 499 pack gives 2GB data per day for 82 days whereas INR 249 plan is valid for 28 days.
