Airtel Retreats Double Data Offer on 3G and 4G Plans in Kerala |

Bharti Airtel had introduced the double data offer on 3G/4G plans starting from INR 247 and above. As an initiative to handle stiff competition from Idea Cellular, the telecom operator had launched this offer earlier. However, the company has withdrawn this offer in Kerala circle.
After the withdrawal of this service from Kerala, Idea Cellular will be the only operator providing double data on 4G packs in this circle. Idea in any case was the first to offer double data on all 3G/4G data packs above 1GB. Vodafone, Idea and Airtel have been offering 4G at 3G rates and have also upgraded their subscriber plans from 3G to 4G. Vodafone is already having 4G presence in a few cities and has not announced any special offers for its subscribers. However, Idea Cellular has extended its 4G service network across 10 cities to gain a competitive edge.
For 4G dongle users, Airtel has also launched special double data benefit 4G offer for both prepaid and postpaid users. Under this offer subscribers will get 200% data after recharging any 4G plans for Dongle, Wi-Fi-Dongle, Hotspot. At a time when Reliance Jio, a PAN India based 4G service provider is about to enter the market and launch its services, Airtel is applying rigorous efforts in the direction of quickly expanding 4G services amongst its users by offering attractive 4G data offers. The company has firmly passed a decision to restrict VoIP services over 2G, 3G, 4G data plans, currently on hold.
Immediately after activation of plans, 4G dongle users will get normal data usage. As a special offer from Airtel 4G, additional data will be credited with a validity of 6 months from the date of activation. The data offer will be valid for 4G networks only. 2G & 3G network data usage on the same SIM will be charged at the normal data rate.
