BSNL Introduces 6 New Unlimited 3G Data Vouchers |

BSNL was not having any unlimited 3G data packs for BSNL mobile customers in the North zone until now. However, the telecom operator has now launched new unlimited 3G data packs for northern circles including Uttaranchal, UP West, UP East, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. This move by BSNL was recently undertaken to offer high speed data connectivity to its customers.
The company has launched six unlimited 3G data packs priced at INR 351, INR 451, INR 651, INR 751, INR 851 & INR 951. However, these packs are not fully unlimited data packs as they come with FUP data limit post where one can enjoy unlimited data at lower speeds.
Details of new BSNL Unlimited Data packs for North zone
1) STV: INR 351
Data FUP Limit (3G/2G): 1.5 GB
2) STV: INR 451
Data FUP Limit (3G/2G): 2.5 GB
3) STV: INR 651
Data FUP Limit (3G/2G): 5.5 GB
4) STV: INR 751
Data FUP Limit (3G/2G): 7 GB
5) STV: INR 851
Data FUP Limit (3G/2G): 8 GB
6) STV: INR 951
Data FUP Limit (3G/2G): 9 GB
For all the above packs, the unlimited data speed post FUP is 80 Kbps and the validity is 28 days.
BSNL’s existing 3G network in the North zone circles is offering speeds but not as great as what private operators are offering. However, BSNL is having a good 2G presence in the region. Incumbent operators including Vodafone, Airtel and Idea have reduced their tariffs by up to 67% in recent weeks to face the upcoming launch of Unlimited benefits by Jio.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited or BSNL is also investing INR 7,000 crore to install 21,000 new mobile towers to check and rectify service quality issues. When compared to private sector rivals, BSNL has reported to have the lowest number of call drops. Anupam Shrivastava, Chairman of BSNL mentioned “We are in the process of investing Rs 7,000 crore in radio networks, and adding 21,000 new mobile towers across all licensed service areas, which itself is a huge capital expenditure to improve services.”
