BSNL Issues 5 Competitive Plans to Stay Ahead of the Curve

According to recent reports, it was pointed out that BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited was the least vulnerable amongst telecom operators who were deeply impacted by Reliance Jio offers. Compared to Q2 FY17 the annual revenue growth of BSNL was down only by 2.5 percent in Q4 FY17. BSNL has continued to maintain a stronger position against Reliance due to its periodical customer-centric BSNL prepaid recharge data offers that are designed with apt focus considering the Jio offers.

Confronting Reliance Jio’s Cutting Edge Offers 

With the launch of affordable tariff plans in September 2016, Reliance Jio managed to knock off the socks of many Indian incumbent telecom operators. BSNL however stood up with a challenge that it will match Jio tariff-by-tariff. Keeping its words, the Government-owned telecom company has treated Reliance Jio offers with equally competitive BSNL mobile plans and tariffs.

Ever since Reliance Jio stepped into the market with its mind blowing offers, BSNL came up with more of data-centric offers to attract more users. The company has launched five tariffs after Jio began to brings its massive offers.

BSNL Data Top Up Plans – STV 339

STV 339 was highly successful and prompted other operators to also commence with more benefit reaping plans for their customers. The plan features 2GB data per day, 25 minutes of off-net calls and unlimited on-net calling. The validity of the plan is 18 days and maximum numbers of BSNL users have chosen to use this plan. On March 19, it was reported that BSNL users based in Kerala managed to consume 408TB data in a single day.

BSNL STV 333 Plan

STV 333 plan offers 3GB data per day for 90 days and is by far one of the most appreciated plan available at the moment. Having said that, the plan does not offer any voice calling benefits. Other operators are yet not providing any plan that matches this BSNL offer.

BSNL STV 395 Plan

Designed at the same level as Airtel’s INR 399 and Idea’s INR 447 plan that offer 1GB data per day for ten weeks and unlimited calling. STV 395, furthermore offers 2GB data per day along with 3000 minutes of BSNL to BSNL calls & 1800 minutes of BSNL to another network calls. Validity for this plan is 71 days. In data segment this plans beats the competitor plans although voice benefits are less.

BSNL INR 1099 plan

Prior to the release of Reliance Jio offers, BSNL wisely altered some of its plans including the INR 1099 plan which was previously featuring 9GB data at a validity of 60 days. With changes made, the plan offers unlimited 3G data for all users for 30 days.

BSNL INR 144 Unlimited Calling Plan

With the commencement of the new-year 2017, BSNL introduced the INR 144 pack that features unlimited calling to any network across the country. That said, the free calling facility will be available for just first 30 mins in the day. Along with this 300MB data is valid for 180 days.
