BSNL Launches New Plans STV 42 and STV 88 Featuring Voice Calls |

Due to the unlimited voice and data packs offered by Reliance Jio, majority of India’s telecom operators are now facing intense challenges with the design of their own service packs. Most of the operators are now offering unlimited voice calls. BSNL has also come up with an initiative in the same area by launching its new BSNL prepaid recharge plans.
BSNL STV 42 & STV 88 – BSNL mobile recharge packs
BSNL has recently come up with two new plans that offer on-net voice calls at just 10 paise/minute and off-net voice calls at 30 paise/minute. The telecom operator has earlier introduced two BSNL talktime recharge plans called ‘Per Minute Plan’ and ‘Per Second Plan’ priced at INR 13 and INR 15 respectively. Under the first plan BSNL was charging all the local and STD calls at any network at INR 0.49 per minute. With the ‘Per Second Plan’ the operator charged 1 paise/second for BSNL to BSNL calls and 1.2 paise/second for other networks.
The company has now decided to cut down voice call rates for both on-net and off-net calls with the new plans STV 42 and STV 88. The STV 42 pack offers on-net calls at 10 paise/minute and off-net calls at 30 paise/minute for users already subscribed with the Per minute Plan. For Per Second plan users, STV 42 charges on-net voice calls at 1 paise/3 sec and off-net calls at 2 paise/3 sec.

Both the plans differ only in terms of validity days. As of now, these BSNL mobile plans are already effective on PAN India basis. It is expected that the newly launched plans by BSNL will mostly take on rival operator plans. In response to JioPrime membership plan launched by Reliance Jio, BSNL will soon be releasing its counter offer.
