BSNL Offers Truly Unlimited 3G Data STV 1099 without FUP |

BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited recently announced the revision of its existing data STV 1099. The telecom operator will be providing unlimited 3G data any FUP or speed restriction. BSNL 3G Data recharge customers will also have new data Special Tariff Vouchers including INR 549 and INR 156 packs. The new 3G data pack came into effect from 25th Aug 2016 on PAN India basis.
Revised BSNL 3G Data Top-up Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs)
BSNL’s data STV 1099 which was offering 9GB data for 60 days will now offer truly unlimited data now at a shorter validity i.e. 30 days. BSNL has also launched a new 3G data voucher priced at INR 549. This pack will hold a validity of 30 days and offer 10GB data. On the other hand STV 156 has a 2GB data offer with a validity of 10 days.
Most of the telecom operators have dropped their data tariffs in anticipation of the upcoming launch of 4G service by Reliance Jio. However, BSNL has tried to counter the data tariff competition with its truly unlimited Data STV 1099. Incumbent operators have maintained their 3G data offer at INR 100 on packs priced above INR 1000, but BSNL’s data STVs feature 3G data as low as INR 55/GB.

When it comes to launching a truly unlimited 3G data pack, BSNL has also launched a similar 3G data pack in 2010 and it was priced at INR 700. This pack was withdrawn in a year’s time. The company also offers truly unlimited data packs for EVDO subscribers. As the company lacks 4G services, it relies on its 3G coverage and its low data tariffs in order to deal with the competition cast by other 4G operators including Jio.
