Idea Cellular Expands its 4G Services to Jaipur |

To encourage growth of its high speed 4G data network, Idea Cellular has recently announced the extension of its 4G services to Jaipur. With the commencement of this year, Idea had already started its 4G data services in Rajasthan and the operator is now having a 4G presence in major towns of the state including towns such as Sawai Madhopur, Pushkar, Alwar, Sikar, Ajmer, Chomu, Bharatpur, Bhiwandi and Jaipur.
Expansion of Idea 4G data services in Rajasthan
By August 2017, the company aims to provide its Idea 4G services to more than 200 towns in Rajasthan. India’s third largest telecom operator, Idea Cellular has officially announced that its 4G services will be live in Jodhpur, Bikaner and Udaipur shortly and also start operating in Kota and Ganganagar by next month.
Idea Mobile Data Services in India
Presently, Idea Cellular’s mobile data services are available in approximately 100,000 towns and villages across the country reaching out to a population of roughly 500 million. Besides 4G services, Idea has also launched new offers including the 4G SIM upgrade offer that consists of 10GB data for users who will upgrade to a 4G SIM card. The company also announced the Idea Super Hour data pack to be available for Jaipur based Idea users. Idea is also providing 2GB of 4G data at a validity of 28 days and cost of INR 108, to new users. The operator is also offering premium digital content free through its Digital Idea apps that have been made available to Jaipur based users. These apps include Idea Game Spark, Idea Music Lounge and Idea Movie Club.
New users of the Idea Movie Club will be getting 512 MB of free data with a validity of 5 days. The company has reported significant growth of the apps as it was estimated that more than 5,57,000 customers were using the Idea Music Lounge application.
Mr. P. Lakshminarayana, the Director of Operations, Idea Cellular, mentioned in one of the company’s official statements that the company has invested in network expansion in order to become a PAN-India wireless broadband operator. “Over the last one year, Idea has more than doubled its mobile broadband network on the 4G/3G platform, and now covers over 50% of India’s population” added Mr. Lakshminarayana.
