Idea Cellular Revises Existing Plan with Better Validity |

For subscribers based in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle, Idea Cellular has recently introduced some changes in its existing Idea prepaid recharge plan costing INR 398. After the revision, this plan will now be offering benefits for 84 days instead of 70 days which was the old validity period. Except the validity, all other benefits remain the same. Only select Idea prepaid customers in the circle will be able to benefit the new changes.
Idea Prepaid Mobile Recharge Plan – INR 398
Idea prepaid customers can benefit 1GB of 3G/4G data per day along with unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for 84 days under the revised plan. The voice calls will be limited to 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. Additional benefits include vouchers worth INR 3,300 from Idea Cellular.
Other Telecom Company Offers
Bharti Airtel, which is one of the biggest competitors of Idea Cellular has already revised its INR 399 prepaid tariff plan with 84 days validity period from 70 days. Majority of the revisions introduced by incumbent telecom operators have been inspired from Reliance Jio. However, they are yet not able to match to the level of the Mukesh Ambani led telecom operator. Jio’s INR 399 prepaid recharge pack is offering 1.5GB data per day which makes it an overall 126GB of data whereas Airtel and Idea are still offering 84 GB of data. Jio’s voice calls are unlimited and have no weekly or monthly FUP.
Idea Cellular had also revised its existing offers such as INR 199, INR 448, and INR 509 plans with 1.4GB data per day in an attempt to compete with Jio’s 1.5GB data per day offers. With increasing competition the market scenario has transformed and it seems like telcos do not have much to offer to prepaid customers and can only try to focus more on postpaid customers and try to retain them.
Airtel is steadfast in launching new schemes to retain postpaid subscribers whereas Idea and Vodafone are offering basic benefits to the postpaid subscribers.
