Idea Promotes its App by Offering 1GB of 3G and 2GB Data at Rs 1 |

As a special promotional activity, Idea Cellular has recently introduced a new data offer which has 1GB of data benefit at the cost of just Re.1. Designed specifically for prepaid users, the offer is released to promote the self-care app ‘My Idea’. However this offer will have data variations differing from user to user, as it will range from 100MB to 1GB thus making only a few lucky numbers get the maximum data for free.
Idea users will be able to avail this offer through the App, and to avail the offer it will be mandatory for the prepaid users to download the ‘My Idea’ app on their phones and make an online recharge. While doing so they will have to enter an exclusive coupon code and recharge through the app’s social menu. As per Idea’s announcement, this is a one-time offer and each prepaid user is eligible to avail this offer only once. With a recharge made through the app, each user would get 100MB of free data, as mentioned on the company’s website.
Although Idea’s app is known to have a poor performance as compared to apps owned by Vodafone and Airtel, the company is in process of recreate the User Interface of the app. This data offer is valid for prepaid Idea users across all the circles.
Earlier the operator had released the double data benefit offer on 4G smartphones. Under the offer, all the prepaid and postpaid Idea customers who upgraded to the new 4G smartphones before 31st March 2016 will be able to obtain double data benefit on 1GB and above packs. Idea’s 4G LTE network is required to avail the extra 4G data. Idea’s Southern coverage for launch of 4G LTE services includes major towns like Trichur, Kancheepuram, Kakinada, Guntur, Chitradurga, Cuddalore, Calicut, Belgaum, Vishakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tiruppur, Tirunelveli, Tiruchirapalli, Rajahmundry, Mysore, Madurai, Mallapuram, Kadapa, Hosur, and Kochi.
The company seeks to further expand its 4G services in the South Indian metros like Coimbatore, Mangalore, Trivandrum, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore in the current month. It also aims to launch 4G LTE services in markets including Orissa, North East, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra & Goa, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh. By June 2016, Idea Cellular’s 4G coverage will be across 10 telecom circles in 750 cities.
