MTNL Introduces Double Data Pack for Mumbai Broadband Customers |

State-owned Telecommunications service provider MTNL or Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited has launched ‘Ek Pe Ek Free’ data offer for Mumbai based customers. In addition to the normal 6GB, customers will now be able to avail extra 6GB data on the top-up of INR 300 double data offer. That makes it a 12GB data pack at the price of INR 300. As soon as the customer does a recharge, he gets an additional 6GB data credited to his account. As of now this is the cheapest data offering by MTNL.
MTNL’s double data pack offer will be valid only between 1st and 31st July. GSM operators also have similar double data offers along with top-up packs. Currently the telecom operator is working on the revival of its current loss phase and for similar reasons it will be introducing more of such beneficial offers in the near future. According to a recent announcement, the revival plan of MTNL will be submitted to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) by August this year.
MTNL has prepared the revival plan with suggestions for service network expansion. It also includes ways to increase the Navratna firm’s market share along with cost optimization measures. The company also looks forward to enter into a partnership agreement with BSNL in order to provide equipment for its mobile services in Delhi and Mumbai circles on revenue sharing basis. Its service network expansion will be done with the assistance from private players.
