Reliance Jio Announces Withdrawal of Complimentary Benefits of Summer Surprise Offer |

Recently following the advice of the Telecom regulator authority, Reliance Jio passed a decision and consequent announcement to withdraw the 3 months complimentary benefits of Jio Summer Surprise. The operator mentioned that this would be done in the next few days as soon as it was operationally feasible.
Reliance Jio’s Complimentary Benefits of Summer Surprise Offer to be suspended
In an official statement, Jio mentioned that the TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) had advised to withdraw the 3 months complimentary benefits of the Jio Summer Surprise offer. Jio has accepted the decision and is complying to the same. However, the company also announced that users who have subscribed to this offer before its discontinuation will be eligible to avail the offer.
Reliance Jio Summer Surprise Offer – Jio Mobile Recharge
Jio had announced the launch of its Summer Surprise offer on March 31. As per this offer, all Jio Prime members who were recharging for the first time with INR 303 or higher amount were supposed to get three month’s complimentary services in addition to the plan benefits. “The paid tariff plan will be applied only in July, after the expiry of the complimentary service” maintained a company statement.
To address the large subscriptions for Jio plans, the operator had also extended the deadline to buy its INR 303 plan till April 15. The company had announced that more than 72 million customers have signed up for Jio Prime over a period of one month. This, as per the company, made it the most successful customer privilege programme in the world.
Reliance Jio has more than a 100 million customers. The company had launched a free data and voice plan in September 2016 which was extended till March 31, 2017. The Welcome offer was launched on September 5, 2016 with a validity of 90 days. However, the benefit was extended up to December 31, 2016. Similarly the Happy New Year offer which was launched on December 4, 2016 also got a validity extension till March 31, 2017.
