Reliance Jio Introduces 3 Prepaid Plans with 1000 Off Net minutes and 2GB Daily Data
   Nov 04, 2019 03:50 PM

Reliance has recently launched three new prepaid plans that come with 2GB daily data and 1000 off-net minutes. Priced at INR 222, INR 333 and INR 444, Jio’s new prepaid mobile recharge packs are offering more benefits than the equivalently priced packs by Vodafone Idea and Airtel. Reliance Jio customers were not happy with the operator’s lack of commitment on the unlimited voice calls for lifetime offer for which Jio has been trying to defend its decision. The three Jio recharge plans 222, 333 and 444 are valid for one month, two months and three months respectively. A response is definitely awaited from incumbent operators such as Vodafone Idea and Airtel.

Reliance Jio Prepaid Recharge offers

The newly launched plans by Reliance Jio are bundled with off-net voice minutes and therefore the operator has termed these as All-in-One plans. Jio has fixed the validity for these three plans at one, two and three months respectively. All the three data plans offer 2GB daily data, unlimited Jio-to-Jio voice calling, 1000 off-net voice minutes, 100 SMSes per day and access to Jio apps. However, the validity for each plan differs.

The telecom operator has claimed that these three plans are currently the cheapest in the market for the benefits they offer. For instance, when a customer goes for a 199 prepaid plan with an INR 50 IUC Top-Up voucher, and the overall cost comes to Rs 249 whereas the IUC minutes offered will be just 656. However, the 222 plan offers 1,000 off-net or IUC minutes at an even affordable price, making the new plans way better than the previous ones.

Reliance Jio All-in-One Prepaid Plans – Comparison

When Jio’s newly launched packs are compared with similar ones offered by Airtel and Vodafone Idea, the former has higher benefits. Airtel and Vodafone Idea do not as of now have any recharge plans which stand in comparison with INR 333 and INR 444 packs that are launched by Jio. However, the two operators are having their 249 and 255 packs which are in direct competition with Jio’s INR 222 plan. When it comes to benefits, Airtel is offering 2GB daily data with its INR 249 plan. This also comes with 100 SMSes per day and unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit for 28 days. Vodafone on the other hand has its INR 255 pack given with 2.5GB daily data for 28 days as well.

The Jio plan comes with 1000 minutes of off-net calling whereas Vodafone Idea and Airtel are offering unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit. For voice calling users, recharging of INR 10, INR 20 or INR 50 above the INR 222 plan may be required. There is also a possibility that Airtel and Vodafone may slash the prices of their prepaid plans in order to compete with Jio.
