Reliance Jio launches Four International Roaming Plans |

Jio is now offering four international roaming plans priced at INR 575, INR 2875, INR 5751 and INR 1101 to both prepaid and postpaid customers. The telecom operator was the first one to introduce the concept of unlimited voice calling service to subscribers based in India. Jio had also withdrawn international roaming activation charges for postpaid customers and the same trend was adopted by Bharti Airtel. Jio had entered the postpaid segment last year with its INR 199 plan that offered unlimited calling and 25GB data.
Details of Jio Mobile Recharge Plan – STV 575
Jio recharge pack STV 575 comes with 100 minutes of national and international calling and single day validity. The mobile recharge plan also gives 100 SMS and 250MB of high speed 4G data. After exhaustion of the FUP limit, the speed comes down to 64 Kbps. The operator is providing this plan benefit in 20 countries including UAE, United States, Thailand and Singapore.
Jio Recharge – International Roaming – STV 1101
Jio’s global roaming pack which is applicable in almost 170 countries is the INR 1101 recharge plan. The benefits of this Jio top up plan include outgoing calls worth INR 1211 and international calls chargeable at INR 100 per minute. Users making calls to India, doing local calls and taking incoming calls will be charged at INR 2 per minute. SMSes will be charged at INR 2 per message and data will cost INR 2 per MB. Countries where these rates will be applicable include US, Canada, UK and Singapore among others. However, in countries like Taiwan, and China, the cost will be INR 10 for outgoing calls, SMS and data each.
International Roaming Plan – STV 2875
Having benefits similar to the plan INR 575, the INR 2875 recharge pack of Jio comes with seven day validity. It has a cap of 250MB daily data after which the speed comes down to 64 Kbps. Users going for this plan get 100 minutes calling every day.
Jio Roaming Plan INR 5751
Built with 30 day validity, this Jio mobile plan is a high price plan offering 1500 minutes of usage which includes local calls in the country and back to India, unlimited data usage and 1500 SMS. After 5GB data consumption, the speed comes down to 64 Kbps. Subscribers going on long trips prefer this plan.
Reliance Jio’s Pay-as-you-go International Plan
Another plan introduced by Reliance Jio recently is the Pay-as-you-go International plan which is quite different from what the incumbent operators like Bharti Airtel and Vodafone are offering. The charges associated with this plan are INR 2 for each voice calls, per MB data usage and SMS. Outgoing international calls will be charged at INR 100 per minute.
