Vodafone Introduces 4G in West Bengal on 1800 MHz |

Recently Vodafone announced the launch of its 4G services in the business and residential based town of Siliguri, West Bengal. Vodafone prepaid mobile recharge customers across West Bengal will be able to avail 4G high speed data services over the next few months. Following the successful launch of Vodafone 4G services in Gujarat, Haryana, UP East, Mumbai, Delhi & NCR, Kolkata, Karnataka and Kerala, the company will now be having the same services in West Bengal.

Reflecting on the launch of Vodafone 4G data services in West Bengal, the Chief Operating Officer of Vodafone India, Naveen Chopra said that during the second phase of their 4G rollout, Vodafone is delighted to launch the 4G SuperNet services in West Bengal. “4G has the potential to revolutionize the mobile experience through powerful innovation that impacts how we work and live. Vodafone’s global expertise and experience of launching 4G across 22 countries gives us a better understanding of this technology and the needs of the 4G customer” added Chopra. He also mentioned that the operator has already received an overwhelming response in Kerala, Karnataka, Delhi & NCR, Kolkata, Haryana, Mumbai, UP East and Gujarat and the current launch will let its West Bengal customers enjoy seamless 4G data network experience.
Vodafone SuperNet 4G
Vodafone customers will now be able to access internet at a high speed offered by Vodafone SuperNet 4G services that are built on the effectual 1800 MHx band. Through their mobile and smart devices including Mi-Fi and dongles, the services will be easily available. Leading smartphone manufacturers are now offering 4G enabled handsets across that country and these can be effectively used of availing 4G services.
Vodafone has lately signed a country-wide 2G intra-circle roaming agreement with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) as an attempt to offer better telecom services to its subscribers. Presently, Vodafone has more than 1,37,000 towers across the country while BSNL has around 1,14,000 towers.
