Vodafone recently announces the launch of its new ‘Full Talk Time’ offer for prepaid customers based in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles. Under this offer Vodafone prepaid mobile recharge will be available to customers with a full talk-time benefit and unlimited validity.

Vodafone’s recent move on quick activation of SIMs – e-KYC facility
Besides offering various Vodafone mobile plans, a few days ago, the company also announced the roll-out of e-KYC facility. With this service the operator will initiate quick activation of SIMs of all customers with an Aadhaar number, across 4,500 stores in India. In one of the statements made by the Commercial Director of Vodafone India, Sandeep Kataria, it was mentioned that customers visiting the stores for a new Vodafone connection will now get instant activation in just a few minutes.
“We had partnered with the Department of Telecom (DoT) to pilot the Aadhaar based e-KYC solution and tested it successfully in two circles. Effective Wednesday, August 24, we are rolling it out across the country" added Kataria.
According to the operator, the use of e-KYC will bring down the delays in activating new connections due to challenges caused by the infrastructure which includes lack of photocopying and photography facilities, transporting volumes of paper and power cuts. The company also added that this will strengthen the verification process as this will minimize the chances of manual error.
Further they said that by the beginning of September 2016, this activation facility will be rolled-out at all 10,000 plus Vodafone-branded stores in urban and rural areas and also across multi-brand outlets. Sandeep Kataria further explained “The benefits of the e-KYC solution is manifold as it rules out the need for paper-based documentation, which is time consuming, and ensures better confidentiality and privacy of customer information and reduces the waiting time for a new connection”.
